Opened in the spring of 2026, the new Kaisersaal has expanded the wedding possibilities at Schloss Lieser even further. From a photographer’s perspective, the Kaisersaal offers exceptional creative opportunities. Can I have my wedding ceremony directly at Schloss Lieser?
Yes. At Schloss Lieser, couples can celebrate both civil and symbolic wedding ceremonies. For religious ceremonies, the on-site chapel is also available. Depending on the wedding format and chosen celebration space, even larger wedding parties can now be hosted in a stylish and elegant way.
What ceremony, reception, and celebration locations does Schloss Lieser offer?
Schloss Lieser offers various areas for each part of your wedding day:

Yes. With an exclusive booking, the entire castle, the castle park, and all 48 guest rooms are reserved exclusively for your wedding party. This creates a private and uninterrupted experience for your very own wedding weekend.

As a luxurious castle hotel, Schloss Lieser offers 48 stylishly appointed rooms and suites, many with views of the Moselle River and surrounding vineyards. This allows guests to stay on site and end the day together in a relaxed atmosphere, including breakfast the following morning.
How flexible is Schloss Lieser with regard to the choice of ceremony location and timing?
The venue is flexible in many respects:
- Ceremonies can take place indoors (chapel), in the Kaisersaal or outdoors (park/courtyard).
- The courtyard can be used as a reception or celebration area in good weather.
This allows the timeline to be tailored individually.
What are the advantages of the new Kaisersaal for weddings at Schloss Lieser?
The Kaisersaal expands Schloss Lieser with a modern event space featuring expansive glass fronts, its own kitchen, and a bar. It is especially well suited for larger wedding celebrations and combines contemporary architecture with the historic atmosphere of the castle grounds. It also creates additional perspectives and a variety of unique backdrops for wedding photography.
Can wedding photos be taken at Schloss Lieser even if you are not hosting your wedding there?
Yes. Wedding photos at Schloss Lieser are also possible even if your wedding is not taking place there. However, the photo session must be registered in advance with the venue and booked for one or two hours for a fee. During this time, photography is allowed in selected interior spaces as well as in the castle park. To make the most of this time, it is recommended to hire a photographer who is very familiar with the castle.
